This November, I had the honor of photographing Kim and her family at Sharp Farm, kicking off my first Christmas session of the season.
I first discovered Sharp Farm back in July, and it quickly became one of my favorite locations. The farm is a vintage styled photo venue for photographers, offering the perfect backdrops. Since my first visit, I've had the privilege of photographing over 10 sessions there this year, each one is unique and special in its own way.
One of the reasons, photographers like me, love shooting at Sharp Farm is that we don’t have to worry about setting up or taking down props or decorations. We simply show up, enjoy our sessions, and leave. The farm is open daily, year-round, rain or shine, and everything is thoughtfully styled before we arrive. The settings are decorated seasonally, adding the perfect touch to every session. Plus, all the setups are conveniently located within 150 feet of the paved parking lot. There’s even an outhouse/changing room available, making it easy and comfortable for clients to prepare for their photos. While there is a fee per hour to rent the venue, it’s so worth it for the convenience and charm it offers.
Kim's session was very memorable, we added the cow in her Christmas session. This was a first for me—I had never done a Christmas session with a cow before, and it was such a fun and unique touch. It's definitely a session I'll always remember.
Sharp Farm isn't just a great spot for Christmas sessions—it’s perfect for senior sessions, engagement sessions, maternity sessions, family sessions, and so much more. Its charm and versatility make it ideal for capturing a wide range of special moments. Valerie, the owner of Sharp Farm, ensures the property is always clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone, which makes it even more enjoyable to shoot there.
It was a joy to capture such heartfelt moments for Kim and her family, and I’m so grateful to have been part of preserving these memories for them.
I plan on doing many more sessions at Sharp Farm in the future. If you're interested in booking a session, I would love to work with you.
